After the launch on 22 October, registered teams will be able to take part in the first round, an online quiz with 30 questions that will be available until 18:00 on 17 November 2026 on the competition site.
The highest-scoring teams at the end of the quiz will qualify for the second round, in which the teams have until 18:00 on 3 February 2027 to propose a monetary policy decision in writing based on economic, monetary and financial analysis of the euro area.
The top five teams from the second round will be called for the final on 16 March 2027, where they will have to explain to a jury of BCL experts the reasons for their proposed monetary policy decision.
The winning team will be invited to participate to a study trip to Frankfurt including visits of the European Central Bank and other institutions, and will be offered a 2-weeks paid summer internship at the BCL.
Teams qualified for the second round will be invited to an exclusive BCL Open Day event.
